From the Cornell Extension Bulletin 112: "Color effect a smoky copper, velvety red-brown bicolor. S. deep purplish vinaceous suffused cinnamon-drab, yellowish on claw. F. velvety burnt lake, lavender outer haft strongly veined along the dense conspicuous orange beard. The reverse side of the lower segment is olive lake, and the green spathes are fully inflated. This plant is a vigorous grower, and has stiff deep green foliage. It is exceptional for its intense color mass furnished by numerous medium sized blooms. Rating 80."
