Stepping Out
Schreiner, R&I 1964
TB 38" ML
From Schreiner's Iris Lover's catalog for 1966: "A rich violet and white plicata, strikingly picoteed. The snowy ground color has a handsome, glossy sheen, while rich pansy-violet margining has a stylish ruffling that greatly enhances the beauty of the flower. The large blooms, held aloft with regal carriage and ideal, four-way branchnig, create a stunningly beautiful clump. Garden visitors unsling their cameras when Stepping Out catches their eye."
From Cooley's Gardens catalog for 1966: "A new plicata remindful of a combination of Dot and Dash and Rococo. The ground color is snowy white, the margins of both standards and falls rimmed with a broad band of deep pansy-violet. All petals stylishly ruffled."
